Sterling silver cufflinks with vitreous enamel and rhodium plating This beautiful hand worked scroll pattern is based on the ornamental French Rococo motifs, often seen decorating interiors and antique furniture of the late 17th century. Coloured enamel glass crystals are crushed and mixed with water to form a paste which is then precisely painted around the design before it is fired at 800 degrees. It is then polished by hand to create a smooth glossy surface.
