Every colour in this triaxial blend has a strong relationship to its neighbour. Each colour is comprised of the same three dyes in different proportions. If you were to imagine a topographical map of one of the dyes across the triangle, it isn't a straight gradient, but a complex terrain, dipping and rising in different parts, according to how my eye perceives it. It's the result of years of painstaking work, meticulously measuring out dye to the milligram. These are the rich, dark colours of autumn: gold, flame, spruce, plum, grey, rust...
