A 32 mm or 45 mm gauge, 16 mm scale model of one of Ruston Hornsbys narrow gauge, 20 horse power diesel locomotives. For further details on scales and gauges please click here. Ruston Hornsby of Lincoln first manufactured narrow gauge diesel locomotives in the early 1930’s. Over the next four decades they built thousands of locomotives, mostly between 18- and 24-inch gauges. Rustons used a number of engines in these, first bought in from Listers (as with our Ruston 20HP diesel locomotive) and then manufacturing their own range of engines.
