The Knepp Chair is an informal dining chair designed with a smaller visual and physical footprint enabling the chair to work in a variety of situations. The leather, which has been vegetable-tanned by a small UK tannery, is from Knepp’s free-roaming longhorn cattle and the wood is from the estate’s ash dieback clearance. It has has been tanned using tree bark, and the surface finish is a simple wax. This allows a natural patination of the hides through use, and as the leather relaxes it will shape to form during use.
