Traditionally, roof hip irons were used to hold the eaves hip tile in place while the fixing mortar was drying. Hip irons are also useful as a safety feature to prevent hip tiles from slipping when the fixing mortar cracks or fails. Our Galvanised Roof Hip Irons feature a traditional ornamental scroll.
