Some rings find their way to the right hands eventually. C came to us with a ring that held two of her grandmothers' stones, a ruby and a deep blue sapphire, already brought together by another jeweller into one piece. It was meaningful, but her style had evolved since the ring was designed and it now wasn't quite her . Then one night, the ruby was lost, and that felt like a sign if ever there was one. So we started from scratch. Together. We sourced a new pear-cut ruby in a deep pink-red that has that same richness as an old stone, the kind of colour that feels like it already has a history.
