The 8C 2900 was always destined for greatness, being designed for the fearsome Italian Mille Miglia and the formidable 24 Hours of Le Mans, and being engineered by the legendary Vittorio Jano. It sported the 2.9 litre version of Alfa’s established 8C engine, said to boast 225bhp, aided and abetted by two superchargers and double updraught Weber carburettors.
