Wanted: how your things are made
If you make what you sell, we would like to show it. Send us a link to photographs or film of your workshop, your process, your hands at work, and we will put it on this page, credited to you, with a link back to wherever it lives.
We are not after marketing shots. A phone video of a lathe or a stitching bench tells a visitor more than a styled product photo ever will.
Anything you send stays yours. We host nothing ourselves without asking: we link to your own film and your own pictures, and we will take it down the day you want it down.
Trading as Dr. Martens plc, registered at Companies House number 12960219.
What we have checked
Every brand here has to clear one test before it is listed at all: the company is a UK legal entity with real activity here. That is a question about the business, and it is deliberately not the same question as where any individual product is made.
- uk registered entity: Companies House record resolves, status active. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
- uk site: Stated by the company: "The Dr. Martens business operates a regional model from three regions: EMEA (headquartered in London), Americas (headquartered in Portland) and APAC (headquartered in Hong Kong), with its head office in the UK. [...] The business also operates out of several additional locations around the world in Northamptonshire, Paris, Dusseldorf, Stockholm, Milan, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, Zhuhai and Ho Chi Minh City." — names a location but no site or process, so this corroborates uk_hq more than operations. Source, checked 2026-09-01.
- uk employment: Stated by the company: "HANDCRAFTED BY LIFE-LONG COBBLERS IN OUR ORIGINAL UK FACTORY." Source, checked 2026-09-01.
We have only checked company registration so far. Evidence of UK employment or a UK site is the next thing we intend to gather, and until we have it we say so on every product rather than implying it.
